Billy, the technician, troubleshot a problem we were having with our smart thermostat. He discovered two problems: he fixed one and diagnosed the other as being caused by a nearby column in the room (we had recently moved the thermostat to behind the column). He also examined the rest of the system for any other issues. All this for a very reasonable price.

Billy did a fine job diagnosing our problem and offering viable options and solutions, with no particular pressure. We really appreciated his professionalism.

Just found out about your plumbing services. I’ve had a concern about a possible leak in my kitchen. Your new employee, Danny, was great. He checked everything and took pics from the crawl space to assure me there are no leaks. This gentleman was professional, polite and explained a plausible reason for the water damage I thought was a leak. Hard a new heat pump installed, Andy & Jerry did an excellent job removing old unit and installing new one. Showed up on time and completed the work just as promised. Outstanding service by Bryce! With an inoperative HVAC compressor, we called Southern Goodman more or less blindly, but with good reviews. Bryce arrived within 3 hours and repaired the compressor back to full operation at a very fair price. Rapid response, full fix, and economy already earns 5 stars, but it gets better. Bryce took the time to explain and show me the problems and contributing factors, eg: dirty air handler coils, and advised me on prevention of problems, in a way that most service techs do not. Also, this occurred in the circumstance that we had a different company come out a week prior, supposedly did some diagnostics, revealing it would "be as expensive to repair as to replace", resulting in the recommendation of a $10,000 replacement..... but a promise to make an estimate for repairs. It was that delay in the estimate which gave us the opportunity to work with Southern Goodman, and glad we did, saving over $9000! I recommend getting 2-3 opinions on expensive HVAC propositions, but make Southern Goodman one of them. We will be lifelong customers. Thanks Bryce!

My Trane units aren't working right. Technician (Bryce) came out, was on time & professional. He was able to tell me what the problem is. Gave me several options & estimates. Southern Goodmen is pricey. Don't know if we'll be able to use them. Bryce is a great tech though!!

I had a great experience working with Southern Goodman to replace both of my HVAC systems. Being new to the area, I chose to get a couple quotes from local companies and ultimately went with Southern Goodman because of the great communication, personalized recommendations, product availability, and because they are brand agnostic company. I went from cold calling to talking with the owner (Samson) in a couple minutes which was a very nice & personal touch. He then scheduled Mitch to come out the next day to assess my situation. Mitch was very thorough and really took his time to come up with options that would best fit my family's needs and what would work best with our house. I was not planning to make a decision that day on which company to choose, but it was these first two interactions that made not want to look further. I'd like to give special shoutouts & thanks to the install crew (Jonni, Joey and Jerry). It's amazing how much work you all were able to accomplish in a day and to the level of detail. I really appreciate you all walking me through the work to be completed, explaining how everything works, and taking your time to make sure we were all set up and everything was working correctly before leaving. Bryce was awesome! Just purchased a new home and had some HVAC concerns. Bryce came out and extensively went over my units and then walked me through everything he was seeing. He took the time to explain the importance of each component and problem areas and I really appreciated that. I have never had an HVAC unit that utilized propane so it was nice to have peace of mind to have a great tech look everything over. They will be doing all servicing on my units going forward! Also the coordinators who helped setup my appointment were really nice to work with as well! Edited to add: I had a water heater issue and Daniel was awesome! He went over all my options and we decided on a replacement. I can't say enough good things about his work and plumbing knowledge. I will never call another plumber! He's going to stay busy busy because everyone is going to want his expertise! True needle in a haystack!

He explained every detail till I actually understood and knew what to expect. His experience, professionalism and kindness, you just don't find these days. He took me step by step and got me financial funding. My Grands have asthma and they sleep upstairs with no air. So it was very important to get this done right away. The men arrived the very next day promptly. Installed the system within two hours. I've been in my resident 26 years. I've never obtain excellent and expertice service such as this. 1/17/25 I had the pleasure of working with Bryce from Southern Goodman Heating & Air Conditioning for our annual HVAC inspection and service, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Bryce arrived promptly around 4 PM and was polite, professional, and thorough throughout the entire process. Daniel showed up, was professional and polite. Provided different options and answered all the questions I had about the equipment that was to be installed. The process took a couple of hours to remove the old water heater, fix the setup for the new system and get it installed. All in all a painless experience

I've used Southern Goodman for the install of my system and again today for my repair. All processes of the install were great. Today I had Kevin out for my repair and I felt bad the troubleshooting and fix took all day in the 20 degree weather. He was a professional the entire time and I got the feeling he wasn't going to leave my family until we had heating. These repairs ended up being under warranty so that was an extra win.

Extremely competent and thorough assessment of the problem in my system, which was only a year and a half old but originally installed by someone who was totally incompetent. Repairs were thorough and executed with diligence and professionalism by technicians who worked late into the evening to get me up and running again. Their work assures me my system is operating at peak performance. I highly recommend Southern Goodman for all your HVAC needs.
