2025 update: excellent service by Dwayne, for a PM call. Outstanding service by Bryce! With an inoperative HVAC compressor, we called Southern Goodman more or less blindly, but with good reviews. Bryce arrived within 3 hours and repaired the compressor back to full operation at a very fair price. Rapid response, full fix, and economy already earns 5 stars, but it gets better. Bryce took the time to explain and show me the problems and contributing factors, eg: dirty air handler coils, and advised me on prevention of problems, in a way that most service techs do not. Also, this occurred in the circumstance that we had a different company come out a week prior, supposedly did some diagnostics, revealing it would "be as expensive to repair as to replace", resulting in the recommendation of a $10,000 replacement..... but a promise to make an estimate for repairs. It was that delay in the estimate which gave us the opportunity to work with Southern Goodman, and glad we did, saving over $9000! I recommend getting 2-3 opinions on expensive HVAC propositions, but make Southern Goodman one of them. We will be lifelong customers. Thanks Bryce!

Dwayne G came by this morning to perform annual preventive maintenance on our furnace and was a total professional throughout his visit. He gave me a thorough overview of every action taken post inspection and made constructive recommendations for our HVAC inspection which will occur next Spring. Dwayne has visited our home previously and both times he showed exceptional politeness and was very respectful. One of the nicest techs I've had the pleasure to interact with, and is very good at his job! As I've said in previous reviews, SoGood is definitely the place to go for long term contracts on all things HVAC, heating, and plumbing. Johnny was right on time. Had my repair done in just a few minutes. Everything was explained fully. Great customer service.

We presented a unique problem to the HVAC tech. There is a mineral deposit collecting on the outside of one of the pipes attached to the furnace. He thoroughly checked all systems in an attempt to find the water leak. His final thought was the old pipe was too large and air was cooling too quickly so condensation was occurring where the new and old pipes meet. He did offer a recommendation to resolve the problem.

We had both of our heat pumps replaced by Southern Goodman this year, and the whole experience has been about as good as possible for such a large expense. The communication was excellent and friendly. I really like the continuity of working with the same receptionist (Sammy), technician (Silas), salesman (Mitch) and lead installer (Jonni) throughout the entirety of our service. Importantly, I never felt like I was being upsold or pressured. Each time, we were presented with a comprehensive set of (free) quotes, tailored to our specific situation, and each line item was clearly explained. There was always an opportunity to identify the essentials and hold off on the nice-to-haves. And they also offered short-term Band Aid solutions too, in the event that we couldn’t financially swing a full replacement. When our second system failed just 6mo after the first, they gave us a great price, as if we replaced both units at the same time. I also appreciate how they offer peripheral services, like duct cleaning and crawl space encapsulation, because I feel like I can trust them to give an honest quote and do good work (vs companies that specialize in those services and often feel a lot more shady). Crews were always clean, professional and efficient when it came time to do the actual install. When we had a minor issue (rattling sound from a loose screw) shortly after the first install, they came back and fixed it the next day for free. A 6mo inspection was included for free with the install, and I’m glad it did because we were able to identify that our second system was failing before it completely broke and left us without heat in the dead of winter. Lastly, I appreciate how our salesman took the time to educate us about best practices for maintaining the new systems. I’ve owned two houses prior and didn’t realize that we had been inadvertently doing things that were causing unnecessary wear and tear. TL;DR — good people, white glove service, fair price

We were very pleased with Luke and the work he did at our house in the East End to replace our leaking water heater. He was prompt, communicated clearly, and was exceptionally pleasant. The lain of the water heater made it somewhat tricky to remove and replace, but he was patient and did a great job. He left the place looking great. We very much appreciated his good work.

Stephen diagnosed the issue with the plumbing and made quality repairs at a reasonable price and fast. He even went above and beyond to install an access panel that I purchased earlier and made the cosmetics look great. Outstanding professionalism I highly recommend.

Right before the first snow of the winter, our hvac stopped running and we had to use space heaters to keep the house warm until the issue could be resolved. SoGood was able to send someone out next day to check on it. Dwayne G came by to evaluate the problem, and was very polite and friendly. We described the issue, and he very quickly identified the source of the problem, fixed it, and did multiple checks after to confirm that it was working properly. He seemed very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to do business with.

I contacted SoGood on Monday 12/1, ready to give up on ever having working central heat and air. I had gone through at least 10 other companies who were either out of my price range or unwilling to offer financing based on my credit. Samson's first question was "Its cold. Do you have heat at all?" When I told him no, he immediately jumped into action. I told him about my less than stellar credit, and the challenges I've faced over the last few years with getting help. This man sat on the phone with banks for HOURS working out terms and getting approval within our very limited budget. Within three hours, he had a YES for me. And then he dropped what he was doing and came to my house that evening to assess our needs and discuss and finalize financing. He was able to get us approved (based on our financial situation) for a more than reasonable price, far below what has been asked from their competitors, with a monthly payment we could afford. And scheduled install for NEXT DAY! Joey and Cole were here bright and early the next morning and went right to work. They took great care in my home, covering their feet before entering, updating me on everything they were doing. They thoroughly tested every part of their work to ensure it was correctly done. They took time to explain the new thermostat controls. These guys went above and beyond. They were fast, efficient, and respectful, even conversational. From start to finish, SoGood had completely resolved a five year hardship for us in less than 72 hours. I'm just blown away and beyond grateful for the compassion we received. They are truly great people and have gained a customer for life.

They came out to look at a water filled crawl space but they don’t work on French drains. They did give me good advice to take it up with my house warranty.

Used the company before for AC/Heater repair, this was first time for plumbing. Great worker, great work.

HVAC checkup done twice a year as part of our annual maintenance contract. Very thorough and answered lots of questions we had. Also installed two filters we had purchased since the last checkup.

Called SoGood for a bad water heater as we’ve had good experiences with them on our HVAC systems. Johnny came out, diagnosed the issue (the unit completely failed) and he was able to get a new unit picked up and installed in 3 hours. He was polite and worked hard.

Stephen came today to replace a leaking drain pipe under the house. He did a great job along with testing the integrity of the new pipe. Even showed me pictures of the replaced pipe. My only problem was that he was here over 2 hours. I can’t give up 2 hours of my work day every time I have one of your technicians at the house, and that’s what happened at this repair and both the heating & plumbing PM’s. Thank you for taking this into consideration with all future service calls.

SoGood came out to replace all the old ductwork underneath the house. They were so easy to work with from the initial estimate with the comfort advisor, Scott to when the work was performed by Andy and Jonni and their team. After reviewing our old equipment, they clearly explained why a replacement was necessary. When the technician, Jonnie, arrived, he was patient, thorough, and transparent when walking us through each step and even taking before-and-after photos of the installation. Thank you, SoGood, for coming to our rescue right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Now our guests will be warm and cozy!

Great service and genuine care. We were approaching a weekend and a big family event with a sudden plumbing issue. They got us in, despite a full schedule.

Silas is an amazing technician; very thorough and explains everything he does.

Stephen was extremely thorough on this Plumbing PM! He even included pictures underneath the house of our piping. It’s obvious he’s very knowledgeable about residential plumbing! I like how he pointed out issues and made his suggestions about ways to remedy the problems. My only complaint is that it took almost 2 hours to do this PM. As thorough as this PM was today, I’m concerned about how frequently SoGood is going to recommend this PM be done. Overall though, don’t let Stephen get away! He is an asset to your company!

The only thing keeping me from requesting him every time is that he was here for a full 2 hours. If he could get everything done within one hour, I would request Dwayne every time. I just got a new furnace installed by SG. The installations went well. What I appreciated most, SG gave me various options to choose. This, in turn, helped me make the best decision for my long term needs.

Mr. Dwayne Gail is the Service Technician who completed a maintenance checkup on my heat pump system, which had originally been installed by Southern Goodman in January 2018. Prior to his inspection, Mr. Gail explained that he would be looking at both the indoor and outdoor units, and would take pictures to explain his findings. He described the tasks he would do to check the unit. Mr. Gail did a very thorough examination and an excellent job of sharing this information with me. He also gave me their new brochure which describes the VIP membership program. I was pleased to hear that my system is in good shape; he had only one recommendation for a replacement part. He calculated the cost for this work, both as a member and nonmember, showing me the potential savings. Mr. Gail was knowledgeable, thorough and very pleasant, and this was without a doubt, one of the best interactions I’ve ever had with a Service Provider.
