Silas has been our technician for over 3 years now. He’s very thorough, explains what’s going on with the system in detail and in layman’s terms. We trust him. The HVAC unit was starting to show signs of wear & tear and Silas offered us options and installed the new parts on the spot.

Shadon performed my semi-annual HVAC system maintenance and did a great job. He found something slightly concerning, but once he dug deeper, he found the cause and fixed it. Super nice guy, and he loved on my cats, which makes him even better!

We had our Trane AC unit checked out on June 9, 2024. Kevin was the technician from Southern Goodman. He was friendly and did the work in a competent manner. We appreciated his candor and his giving us useful information on our unit and service for it. We plan to use Southern Goodman for future service and repairs and when we need to have the unit replaced.

I have a service contract. I get called prior to the preventative service. Technicians call when they are on the way. The technicians always perform a thorough review of my two indoor and outdoor units. I've only had two services so far but the technicians both times were professional and courteous. Silas came out and did a complete evaluation to protect my system.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Billy and Sam from So Good Plumbing, Heating & Air during our annual HVAC inspection and service, and I couldn’t be more impressed. They arrived ahead of schedule, which was a great start, and their professionalism and expertise were evident from the moment they got to work. They conducted a thorough inspection of both of our HVAC units, carefully addressing any concerns and ensuring everything was running efficiently. What really stood out to me was their attention to detail and the way they took the time to explain everything clearly. Technician was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Silas helped us out today with some routine maintenance as part our maintenance plan! He found the UV light was out and was able to help us same day. Always helps with my asthma to have the UV light working and a clean HVAC system! He came promptly and with a courtesy reminder.

Never been so happy for a second opinion. I called another company first, and they told me I had a leak in the coil and was extremely low on freon. They gave me an estimate of 3700 to repair, or 9-10k to replace. Called Southern Goodman for a second opinion and it turns out none of that was true, no leak, freon was full. My fan capacitor was blown and the control board needs replaced. Fixed me up so I have AC while waiting for the part to come in and will fix it. Exceptional customer service and the service technician obviously knows what he's doing! It's nice to know there are companies that are willing to help their customers instead of trying to rip them off. Thank you for your quick fix and honesty! Updated on 05/22/2025 Customer service and honesty with this company are 5 star. Bryce is a great technician and it's always a pleasure to work with him. Still a happy customer and will continue using them for all of my HVAC servicing need!

Really love this company and all its employees. Samson was awesome! He explained what he was inspecting and the remediation of the components, clearly and concisely. He was very respectful in our home and made the whole experience much easier on my wife and I. When going through the options for remediation, he broke things down in a way that was easy to follow. I do want a new system in our home in the near future and will be calling Southern Goodman, I’ve joined there Comfort Protection Club specifically to make sure my home unit stays in good service until then. Overall a great experience, from Bree on the phone to Samson in person, I’m very impressed with Southern Goodman.

SoGood Plumbing Heating & Air (formally known as Southern Goodman) is amazing!!! We have been a customer with the company for over 15 years or more!!! They have never disappointed from an emergency call right after Christmas one year to the quarterly checkups to make ensure our units are running smoothly. Everyone from the first call to the office to the technicians are very pleasant and “make you smile”. Today Billy came to do our quarterly check up. He was very dependable, professional and knowledgeable. He explained items that we needed to pay attention to and did not push on what we “should” do. After looking over the summary of items, we decided to go with all of his recommendations. Thank you SoGood for helping to keep us cool this summer!!!!

Is very difficult to get an air conditioner repaired in late June and early July because of the high demand, I called on this company this morning and they had it fixed in the afternoon. Problem solvers I'm delighted with them and will continue to use them. I am an experienced landlord and I love it when companies respond promptly and solve my problems!

Called up for a general cleaning and inspection, scheduling was fast and easy with great communication. 05/12/25 Bryce was our serviceman today for our HVAC system. Very nice, informative gentleman whom presented us with fantastic customer service. He explained the need and difference between a UV Light Filter system and bulbless filter system to prevent mold growth inside of our 1 yr old unit. We appreciated the information and assistance in him installing the bulbless filter system for us today. After Southern Goodman offered a better quote than any other company, Jonni, Jerry, and Donavan provided excellent service in replacing our 19-year-old HVAC system the next day. They only left my home after they were sure that all my questions were answered and all my expectations were met. No one loves investing money in home repairs, but these folks made the experience relatively pleasant and stress-free.

Appointment was scheduled with ease. And Silas did a great job doing our spring Maintenance and offering ideas to keep our system running well.

Daniel from SoGood did an excellent job replacing a leaky spigot and installing a new water heater. He added insulation to the pipes and made sure the old one was taken away. The Essency Water Heater looks great and am glad it has an 80 gallon capacity!

So far so good. Technician just left for serving unit. He did professional job.

Billy, the technician, troubleshot a problem we were having with our smart thermostat. He discovered two problems: he fixed one and diagnosed the other as being caused by a nearby column in the room (we had recently moved the thermostat to behind the column). He also examined the rest of the system for any other issues. All this for a very reasonable price.

Billy did a fine job diagnosing our problem and offering viable options and solutions, with no particular pressure. We really appreciated his professionalism.

He checked everything and took pics from the crawl space to assure me there are no leaks. Called Southern Goodman over the weekend for a leaking water heater. They responded immediately Monday morning and had a team out early to provide a variety of options. We settled on the best solution and they were able to have the old ones out and a brand new one in the same day!! Daniel and Brandon were extremely knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. Daniel even went above and beyond and built a new support for the water heater since the manufactured one was 100 miles away and we needed hot water that night. Called Southern Goodman over the weekend for a leaking water heater. They responded immediately Monday morning and had a team out early to provide a variety of options. We settled on the best solution and they were able to have the old ones out and a brand new one in the same day!! Daniel and Brandon were extremely knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. Daniel even went above and beyond and built a new support for the water heater since the manufactured one was 100 miles away and we needed hot water that night. I recently had a deck built that made my hose bib inaccessible. Daniel came out a week prior and gave me about 5 or 6 options on how to go about moving it. Outstanding service by Bryce! With an inoperative HVAC compressor, we called Southern Goodman more or less blindly, but with good reviews. Bryce arrived within 3 hours and repaired the compressor back to full operation at a very fair price. Rapid response, full fix, and economy already earns 5 stars, but it gets better. Bryce took the time to explain and show me the problems and contributing factors, eg: dirty air handler coils, and advised me on prevention of problems, in a way that most service techs do not. Also, this occurred in the circumstance that we had a different company come out a week prior, supposedly did some diagnostics, revealing it would "be as expensive to repair as to replace", resulting in the recommendation of a $10,000 replacement..... but a promise to make an estimate for repairs. It was that delay in the estimate which gave us the opportunity to work with Southern Goodman, and glad we did, saving over $9000! I recommend getting 2-3 opinions on expensive HVAC propositions, but make Southern Goodman one of them. We will be lifelong customers. Thanks Bryce!
